10 year old Sam Hattersley and his young friend worked incredibly hard over the summer holidays to raise nearly £200 for the Cavy Corner Guineas. Thank You Sam .... A terrific achievement.

13 year old Volunteer Savannah and her Guinea Smokey have been short listed on the Burgess Excel Star of the Show competition. You can read all about the dedicated duo and you can vote for them to win on this link.

Our 2011 Guinea PIGNIC was a HUGE success and the review will be posted shortly.

3 teenage volunteers were awarded their Cavy Corner Level 1 Guinea Care certificates over the summer. Congratulations to Ellie, Savannah, and Brione.

We welcome new Volunteers Lucy, Louise and Faye.
Pam and Sandra from the Social Learning and Education Centre at Adwick are enjoying their weekly visits and becoming more confident with the guineas.

See Cavy Corner’s own Facebook page for weekly updates.

Recent Arrivals
We have been busy treating and taming the 66 guineas rescued in May and many have now found wonderful forever homes with special families. Several of these guineas were pregnant when they arrived and we had 12 tiny babies born here, thankfully all survived. Some of the 66 will need to remain here due to ongoing issues.

We have had 5 new piggies come in in the past week including one who you may have read about in the press who  had been cruelly used as a football by 2 boys. She is recovering well.
